Privacy Policy

• Overview

  Analertics (“the App”) provides analytics and alerting services (“the Service”) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy outlines how information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-powered store.

• Personal and Store Data We Process

  When you install the app, we access certain types of information from your Shopify store to provide app functionality. This includes:
  Personal data:

  • Basic store information, like your contact email address and shop owner name
  • User sessions (anonymized, via Shopify Web Pixel)
  • Page views (anonymized, via Shopify Web Pixel)
  • Add to cart events (anonymized, via Shopify Web Pixel)
  • Completed checkout events (anonymized, via Shopify Web Pixel)

  The customer data is anonymized and used solely to calculate metrics like conversion rate, add-to-cart rate, and session counts etc.
  Non-personal data (via Shopify Order and Product APIs):

  • Order details such as purchased products, quantities, and taxes
  • Product cost information

  No personal information of your customers is accessed via orders or products API. This data is used exclusively to calculate profitability metrics like gross profit and gross margin.
  Slack integration data (if connected):

  • Slack workspace ID and bot access token (stored securely, used solely to send alert notifications)
  • Selected Slack channel IDs and names (stored to know where to deliver notifications)

  We do not access Slack message history, user profiles, or any other Slack data beyond what is required to send alert notifications to your selected channels. The Slack access token is stored encrypted and is revoked when you disconnect the integration.

• How We Use Your Data

  We use the information we collect to provide and operate the service. Specifically:
  • To generate alerts when certain thresholds are met (e.g., drop in conversion rate, surge in sales, or changes in profitability metrics)
  • To support real-time store monitoring and anomaly detection
  • To notify you via email, SMS, or Slack, if configured
  • To write customer support emails using your store email address
  We do not store detailed store data on our servers. Only the following is stored:

  • Basic user information (e.g., your contact email) for authentication and notifications
  • Statistical, aggregated, or anonymized data necessary for the core app functionality (like checkout events, sessions etc.)
  • Slack integration credentials and channel selections, if you choose to connect Slack

• Sharing Your Data

  We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Limited disclosures may occur in the following cases:
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • In response to lawful requests such as subpoenas or court orders
  • To protect our legal rights or the security of our users
  When you connect Slack, alert notifications are sent to your Slack workspace via the Slack API. This means alert content (e.g., alert titles and trigger messages) is transmitted to Slack's servers for delivery to your selected channels. No other data is shared with Slack.
